Hello, my name is Ainsley. I live in sunny Florida. I started my raw food journey a couple of months back and currently am traveling in Mexico. I want to learn how to go 100% raw not only for myself, but for my husband and children, as well. I am also wanting to learn how to stay raw, even while traveling to other countries, places, etc. I started my raw food journey in hopes to eradicate myself of seasonal allergies and asthma, and this is the year to do it! One of my children has nut allergies, so I am also interested to overcoming this challenge and prepare raw delicious foods for her that also contain plenty of protein and maximize her health, hopefully we'll be able to get rid of her allergies too! This is where I am at right now. I have already met a bit of discomfort from family about this dietary choice and I look forward to becoming a part of a community, albeit online, to support me (and hopefully I to support others as well) through this lifelong journey.

I need help with quantities of produce, budgeting, etc. for a family of 4. Ideas for simple living and simple recipes. I'm excited to read the 80-10-10 book to understand more of the philosophy this community shares.
The Frugivore Diet is a fruit-based vegan internet community which promotes a high carb fruit based vegan lifestyle free of any animal products. Hey Ainsley! Thanks for the friend request and message. I'd highly recommend this lifestyle. I buy produce from a few different places. I usually buy ripe or "overripe" discounted bananas from supermarkets or produce stands. I'll buy various other fruits and vegetables at the flea market in pinellas park, the Mustang Flea Market, which is an awesome spot. I could get more specific about markets, or stores, buy you can call stores, or stands, ask if they have any bananas they're selling for a discount and focus on eating those as your main (not only) source of calories. In addition, there's a wholesale place called Global Organic in Sarasota.
