I'm a university student from Vancouver Island, currently studying abroad in Xalapa Mexico. I love traveling, photography, and any adventure sport. I grew up with a healthy lifestyle (compare to most), but after reading an article about raw food I started researching extensively to figure out the healthiest way to do it. Annnddd ended up here!

Hey there, how are you?
My partner and I just moved out to the island from Vancouver (We're both Aussies).
Just wanting to reach out and meet some people out here, so wanted to give you a shout and say hi :)
Would love any tips on buying fresh organic produce if you have any recommendations!
Hope to hear from you, happy trails :)

December is coming! You want to go back to Mexico? Time to get down with the Mayans!
I'm still unsure if you're being serious lol! But just in case:
Since you'd be going through both the US and Canada you'd have to consult both:

If you have an extras, I'll let you know where to send'em ;)
Yes once you have lived in Hawaii its hard to live anywhere else. There are some negative sides though. You are 3000 miles away from anywhere else and you have to fly to get anywhere. But all in all it is the best place I have ever lived. Weather, clean air, warm/clean ocean with beaches, surf spots everywhere, tons of great people, loads of fruit, and year round growing seasons. Ahhh. Oh ya and "Hawaiian time" everything goes slower and is less stressed out than the mainland.
So you know the Mexico gathering is in December right? Summer will be well over by then. I am going down in late October so you'll have plenty of time for a summer job :)
Anyway... Great enthusiasm. Would love to eat fruit with ya! Enjoy your time in Mexico..
Hey Anna, how goes studies?

best wishes... and think about guadalajara ;) lol.
abrazos! cuidate mucho :)
Oh the tinfoil thing was a joke...just in case that wasn't clear :P
Nice! I'm having some for breakfast right now as well, probably not as good as yours but still yummy :D
I think if you wrap them in tinfoil you'll be fine. Worst case scenario they'll take them away and label you a papaya smuggler.
I can just picture the headlines - "Papaya Smuggler Caught - 17 Papayas Seized"
A young Canadian woman returning from Mexico was being interrogated after 17 papayas were found in her luggage. When asked what she was going to do with them upon return to Canada she smiled and stated "eat them".
During the interrogation, police left the fruit smuggler alone in the interrogation room for a few minutes along with her luggage. Upon their return, 3 papayas had been missing and papaya seeds were scattered all over the floor. Police are still investigating their disappearance.
Oh ya.. And we could use a semi-spanish speaking girl who knows where to get tons of cheap fruit! :)
