Our community would be delighted to know you better. Please tell us more about yourself and what brought you to the Frugivore Diet. Detailed responses will only be accepted (feel free to reapply with more detail if at first not approved as a member).
Been vegetarian since the age of 19 and 100% vegan for the last 11 years. Decided to give raw vegan a try so did a 6 month long trial back in 2006. Before embarking on the journey I did my own research into the best way to go about it. Before even reading the 80/10/10 Diet, I had come across Doug Graham's info and was inspired by the emphasis on fitness. This is what made the most sense to me, so I settled on the low fat, high fruit path.
The 6 month experiment was a success. Since then, though not always 100% raw, I still completely believe it's the best way to eat and am constantly trying to find a way to integrate it into my life as much as possible.
I joined 30BAD for inspiration, helpful reminders when I stray from the path, and to try to contribute my own knowledge and experience from the many successes I've had over the years.

Hi mate,
I use up to 50 ml or 5x eye droppers in a day. I only do that when I am not working though. The mobilized mercury knocks me around a lot. I use less when I have to work, but usually between 20-50 ml's a day. I combine the iodine with cellulase, chlorella and milk thistle (my liver and kidneys were really strained early on).
Hi mate, have been using the iodine since October last year. Chlorella since November. How are your detox symptoms running. I recently added Milk Thistle to my list to aid my liver through the detox. It was struggling on the heavier iodine days. I also use an enzyme with the chlorella (cellulase) to help with the digestion of it. I didn't get all of my amalgams out until just recently (most of them were out by the start of Jan but the last one was out at the end of Jan. Still feeling quite tired and scatty, especially if I don't have my bananas / iodine.
Next time I go it'll probably be mid next week then. You can always go Sunday/Monday if you don't want to wait.
Lol, I know who you're talking about. He's the one there most of the time. I remember once we asked him a question and he just walked out on us wondering whether he'd come back and answer it or not - he didn't! xD
I don't think he's actually rude, he looks more unhappy to me. Except for that, he's actually a nice guy and has given us many discounts without even asking for them. If you'd rather go when there's someone you can actually talk to and ask advice, there's a very nice (oldish) man that works there Sundays and Mondays. He's even walked with us into the chambers and given us fruits to try around before deciding what to buy.
Outside of every chamber is written what's inside, but I agree that the first time around it's a big place and can be confusing. As for prices, you can get a price list at the entry - there's two separate price sheets actually, one for organic and one for regular.
If you want, we can even meet up there one day to show you around.
