I live in Singapore and need to learn how to open the minds of others and feed them positively so we can heal. I found out about raw vegans from certified chef Deby Huckins - Everything she said about eating foods that are still alive instead of eating carcasses, about absorbing food instead of draining energy digesting and breaking down complex proteins, about growing together with nature instead of decomposing meat in our intestines like vultures, poop that doesn't stink but smells organic fresh like compost(!), all of that really resonated within me. I find eating processed foods makes me ornery and depressed because my body is using so much energy just to digest food. Just three days after eating a raw vegan diet under the care and supervision of Deby, my entire countenance lifted, I could feel my body embrace each meal and accept the food wholeheartedly, it was quite literally an awakening. Despite such revelation, I still crave ice-cream, sweets, cookies, chocolate and pasta. Am tweaking menus and lifestyle changes as this concept of feeding is completely foreign in my country and culture where we live to celebrate cooking and eating everything under the sun. So true - we need to live for life and not for waste and death.
The Frugivore Diet is a fruit-based vegan internet community which promotes a high carb fruit based vegan lifestyle free of any animal products. Our forum does not tolerate encouragement of anything contrary to this. Nor do we allow endorsement of non-vegan items or practises which involve the imprisonment, exploitation, abuse or murder of sentient beings.
