My name is Jacob. I live in Bastrop TX. I am 29 years old. I have a wife and 2 daughters, 2 dogs and a hermit crab. I am a school bus mechanic. I am one of Jehovah's witnesses. And I am Fat. A few months ago I peeked at 290 pounds. I felt horrible all of the time. I knew that I had to do something different. Fast food 4 to 5 times a week was killing me and I knew it. Over the last few months I have made changes to my lifestyle and now weigh 260 pounds. 2 months ago I became vegitarian and about 3 weeks ago I started wanting to learn more about the raw lifestyle. The last week and a half I have been doing raw meals like kale banana smoothies and I am feeling the difference in energy and focus. I want to learne more and feel better. My aunt who has been raw for a year now turned me onto your videos and this web site. I really think I want to go raw but I know that I'll need help.

My favorite book is the bible. I like watching movies that are upbuilding and funny. (I tend to stay away from anything rated R) I like hagging out with my kids and riding our bikes.
The Frugivore started this site to bring together frugivores across the Globe! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
I need motivation. My wife thinks I'm going off the deep end with my diet change. I know that she'll see the difference though. I just need someone there to talk to and get support from.

Hi again, I'm glad you are starting again, some people start without transitioning much, others fall off a few times. I have been eating high carb low fat, however sometimes I still do it with some cooked food, sometimes during weekends a little sprouted bread or some rice but still high carb low fat. My husband, he is eating lots of fruits and vegetables but he occasionally eats some animal products, so he is not really vegan but little by little he is accepting more the "truth," hehe
