been doing lfrv on and off for over 6 years now, and progressively becoming more committed. the biggest challenge is to overcome cravings towards salty foods... i don't use salt, but sometimes i'll give into raw nori, or garlic and spices for making dressings. i also notice that raw eating is intimately connected to the emotional and spiritual side of me. the more i detox emotionally, (deal with issues), the cleaner my diet becomes. i'm also a spirit-filled christian, and the closer i connect with God/Jesus/Holy Spirit, the more peaceful i am with eating.

Thank you Jennie you are so sweet :)
I wish you the best with all my heart.
Tons of love. Angela

Hi Jennie, I just wanted you to know I answered your question about the tomato sauce on that page with the photo. I hope it helps!
miss you too.
i got married earlier this month, officially registered in beijing. however, my husband left for work around mid and will be away for another 6 weeks at least.
most of my spare time, i'm immersing myself in the joy of cooking (omnivore), gardening, painting and handcrafting. no expert just enjoy the fun.
i still got flare-ups when diving in tropical last month, much more minor though. and i have been keeping the tanning by spending as much time outdoor (without sunscreen mostly). finally see the silver lining of living freely under the sun.
hope you are doing fine and living happier.
i am grateful and fulfilled with what i have for the moment.
Hi Jennie,
Consuming salt is against our guidelines, but you may find some helpful suggestions for combatting your cravings here:http://www.30bananasaday.com/group/rawrecipeshaveanyadd/forum/topic... .
It's often an issue for newbies, but it does get better! Hope this helps. Sultana
Hello Jennie,
Thank you so much for sending me that link, it was very inspirational. I can only begin to imagine how much I will have changed after living this lifestyle for four years, it will be truly amazing. I do hope to one day be an inspiration to others as everyone else here has been to me. To answer your question, I am actually German/Norwegian, it seems we all have lookalikes out there. :)
I just read that you would like to move to Hawaii eventually- man, that would be amazing!! I went last year, and everyone is so mellow and laid back! Things are expensive but there is costco there!! :)
I visit China, taiwan, and Hong Kong every two years or so. I have not been to Shanghai yet- just Beijing. I like it there!
I am currently on my first week or raw and the first few days were easy, but the past two I have been craving some vegan junk food. :( luckily i didn't eat it.
Anyhow, Ni hao from california!!
Hi Jennie: I used to eat salt for years but I stopped 7 months ago after interviewing Dr Alan Goldhamer. Here is the interview. Enjoy : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2L7wN2ORHXU i later posted this video talking about my elimination of salt in my diet :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pCjAGkyI1Q

Hey Jennie!
About the dates: it depends which sort of dates you get. Zahidi dates are very dry, bahri dates are very moist. Khadrawi are slightly less moist than bahri but still very delicious. Take your pick!

Hi Jennie,
I do not use any hair care products once soever. I only use a regular shampoo that is somewhat made of organic ingredients and is paraben free. No conditioner. I have recently been using a different soap, one that i use for my body as well, and it seems to be less harsh on my hair. It is from Dr. Woods and it is a pure almond castile soap with Shea Butter and smells amazing. And the ingredients are great. Check out the link ->
