I was referred to this site by Jonas, who I met within a group on Facebook, called Vegan. He also recommended 80/10/10 by Douglas Graham after I watched Forks Over Knives, cut oil, and exclaimed how much better I felt. I have struggled with fibromyalgia since my diagnosis four years ago. Since cutting oil, I became more energetic and my pain decreased. So, then I added a whole bunch of fruit to my regimen, which just compounded the benefits exponentially. I am currently reading Dr. Graham's book, during a yearly fast that I do with my husband, and everything is sounding so great. I am planning to try it for a year, as he suggests in the book, remembering that my favorite steamed tubers and starches like artichokes will always be there after the year, if I still want them. I trust that I probably won't. So, I am here for support and guidance as I make the switch, and fumble through this new way of eating. I already eat 70-80% raw fruits and vegetables, but still consume heated tubers, grains, beans and other steamed starches and oligo-saccharides. I look forward to getting to know all of you, and working with you, and growing with you. I am very excited to have found a new community that can assist me in growing further into a more natural and harmonious life. There is no choice for I /am/ reading the book, so I chose the I will, as I have not yet finished it, but I am on Chapter 6.

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are...
The Lord of the Flies, Skinny Bitch, Phantom Tollbooth, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, Where the Wild Things Are; Oh, the Places You Will Go, Vegan Freak, Harry Potter series are some of my favorite books. I like to hike, camp, exercise on the elliptical machine at my school's gym, going for walks, biking, knitting, reading books and magazines and sometimes internet articles, organizing/nesting, learning about health and nutrition, Bikram yoga and probably some other things that I cannot remember right now. What do you like?
The Frugivore started this site to bring together frugivores across the Globe! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
I am just in the learning and transiting phase, right now. So, any information, question answering and gentle correction will be greatly appreciated. I am also getting into exercise for the first time in my life, and watched a video by Freelee, which encouraged me to keep a regular cardiovascular workout. So, I began to go to the gym for the elliptical as a start, and it feels so good. With that, I will be ready for advice for stepping up my workout, to be a fit, healthy lady within some time. Thanks for this community, guys! Thanks for asking how to help!
