  • Sorry for just now getting back to you. :/ I agree 100% with you on feeling like purchasing from people who kill animals also promotes the killing of animals, even though i'm not the one eating them. I have a holistic vet and i'm going to ask for the nutritionists advice on perhaps switching to a vegan diet. I don't live in the country unfortunately :( I want to so badly. I live 30 minutes from San Francisco. I have a very large backyard though.... Actually, I have a story to share. The other day, Hendrix(the eldest) brought home an unharmed baby blue Jay. Dahlia(the youngest) and Hendrix both just sat near the bird and look at me for some sort of guidance. When the object became more apparent to me I kinda freaked because I thought I was going to walk over and find an injured baby. :( Anywho, the fact that Hendrix brought the baby bird home unharmed made me feel like he probably found it on the ground(he doesn't climb trees) and brought it home to me to care for it. Wishful thinking? maybe. On another note: Being a care taker to these kitties is one of the most rewarding things in my life. It has taught me to be selfless and they have opened my heart up. You are going to love have cats. :) Have a great evening.

  • because this is america! and were not supposed to be successful free thinkers, were supposed to be workers and make the rich richer:]

  • yes:D i hope someday schools will be different and actually teach useful fun information:]

  • are those tests for school?:p i forget what their called lol. and i can see what you mean, id hate to have to remember a bunch of boring information for a test XD

  • I can def. appreciate where you're coming from and I totally respect that. I will def. look into it because I'm pretty open to discovering better ways to live for me and my babies. I do want to add though, that I only buy locally and have meet the farmers. They humanly raise organic, healthy, and happy animals which is important to me. My cats are outside cats and I do fear that they will start hunting or eating other peoples food which can cause many health problems. Their digestive tract is meant for meat just like ours is meant for plants. I get what you mean about supporting the killing of animals...I didn't really think of it that way and shame on me. I'll def. look into this though. Thank You!

  • :) They eat a raw homemade diet. Organic whole chicken with bones, cartilage, heart, and liver. I also add kelp, alfalfa, ascorbic acid, essential omega oils, nutritional brewers yeast. I change up their vegetables intake every 2-3 days. They eat beets, carrots, sweet potatoes, avocado etc. Their snacks consist of strawberries, apples, cucumber, mango and watermelon. Being a vegan it is a tad difficult to grind their meat up but there's no way I'm feeding them commercial food. My eldest Hendrix is new to the diet but WOW has he thrived! His immune system is getting better and better by the month and It was very cool to see his body excrete his toxins. He lost almost all of his underbelly hair and then one day poof* it all grew back. His eyes have changed to a bright green color. Thanks for asking. Hope I haven't provided to much unwanted information. ;)

  • oh you know, just the usual:] what are you doin:D
