I turned vegan in June of 2015, after a years worth of watching Freelee's videos. My whole life I struggled being overweight, but in April 2012 when I was just 13 years old, I decided to go on... the Atkins diet (gross XP), I started at 205 lbs and had lost weight fairly quickly but a few months later when I got to 155 pounds, I became more strict and developed an eating disorder (I ate 800-1000 calories a day with an hour or more of intense exercise) I felt absolutely sick, but denied it because I was so desperate to lose weight before high school started. In January 2013 at about 135 pounds, I had passed out from malnutrition, and I was rushed to the hospital to be told that I was so undernourished my heart was on the verge of failing. So, for the next year I struggled to eat more, scared of going over even 1000 calories. As time went on, I had gained back the 20 pounds I had lost from starving myself, no matter how much I had exercised or eat less. After a whole year of dealing with this discouraging weight gain, I went to a friends house and binged on fatty animal product junk food, and the very next day I was so upset at myself that I said enough was enough and I wanted to g vegan, so then and there I stopped eating meat, and just a few weeks later became a full vegan (mainly for health and weight loss reasons, but now I am in it and well educated on the ethical part as well.) In this year total I have lost pretty much all the weight I had previously gained back (15-20 pounds) all while eating over at least 2000 calories a day of high carb low fat whole vegan foods. My goal now is to lose some more weight (my goal weight right now is about 125-130, I weigh about137-140 now) without restricting, and I also am getting a bike to pick up cycling to get even more fit and lean. Thank you Freelee and Durianrider for educating me and turning me vegan, I still have a lot more education and experiences to go, but I hope in time I become as fit and knowledgeable as you guys :)

Right now I am reading Carb the Fuck Up, I also enjoy the Harry Potter series and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I love to exercise, dance, swim, I absolutely adore animals and have a hamster named Noodle Muffins, my dream would be to adopt a Corgi living comfortably with a constant abundance of fruit :) I also want to begin my own YouTube channel to help spread the vegan message.
The Frugivore started this site to bring together frugivores across the Globe! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
I just need motivation to now that healthy weight loss takes time and to never be afraid of calories, seeing other people on this lifestyle helps me not feel alone and allows me to connect with other people who are also on a HCLF vegan lifestyle. I want to ask questions and learn more to become better and better at being healthy and happy.
