Basically, I'm trying to weave healthy habits into my life. By filling my life with the right habits, I've become happier and healthier. The first time I ever really thought about what I ate was about a year and a half ago. I stumbled upon a book by Dr. Andrew Weil and followed much of his health advice. I went from a chronically under the weather, sick, lethargic (and frankly pissy) person to a healthy, couldn't-catch-a-cold, feel-like-a-champ, pleasant fellow in a few weeks. After a year of eating my not-so-SAD diet, I began to hear some opinions about veganism and how well vegans were doing. Through lots of web surfing I came across raw food veganism, 80/10/10, etc. After several dozen vids from Arnstein and DR and Graham and Dan the Man (can ya dig it) I was psyched to try eating a raw foods diet. Right now I am not 100% raw but I am eating lots more raw food than I ever have before and its going well so far. I have lost a few pounds (which may not benefit me as I play varsity hockey and I'm very small compared to most players, 140 lbs. vs 160-190 lbs. avg) but may help my ultrarunning career. I'm training for my first ultra and my longest official race is a 5k from high school cross country so I'm no veteran but I do plan to do a 50 miler soon (this year). So I'm eating probably 75%-90% raw consistently and I want to talk to some other raw fooders because I don't know any personally! I want some support and advice for my issues, although I'm pretty happy with everything right now. Thanks for creating this site and for your vids DR!!
