Lots of factors can cause people to be susceptible to the cold.
For example, mild niacin deficiency has been shown to slow metabolism, causing decreased tolerance to the cold.
Changing diet and lifestyle means the body adjusts the levels of nutrients it holds onto or lets go of. As the body adjusts to its optimal levels there can be transitional periods where you feel the cold and other times that cold doesn't bother you at all.
I've been vegan since Jun 1999.
Raw since Nov 2005.
LFRV most of the time since going raw. I don't keep a food diary, but from memory I was still buying bags of nuts in the first year of going raw and was probably eating too much avo.
Most of my meals these days I prefer as mono.
Low fat and simple is best.
Central Coast is a nice place. It must be great to be further north!
I've been a surf lifesaver at Soldiers Beach for nearly 10 years.
I competed at the State and Aussie titles a few years ago.
I'm sure you'll notice a difference in your results now as a LFRV!
I look forward to hearing your results :)
