  if I have some spare time by the time you're here I would be glad to take you with me to vila real as I still have some friends there and I would have the chance to visit them anyway....

  you could then take a big leap and go to serra da estrela in viseu or serra do caramulo, and search for some historical villages... you can then go to vila real de tras-os-montes and visit serra do marão and serra do alvão... here in the interior you still have rivers and creeks you know :P joking ... in vila real you can then take the oporto wine route which is breathtaking into regua... you know have the river douro,,, and if you follow the river douro you'll get to oporto.
  uhhfffff.... the end :) btw how are you travelling??? from vila real to regua I would advice taking the train ... beautiful trip.

  hi again, in Algarve you can always go to praia das furnas near faro or praia da ilha da armona in fuzeta where nude is acceptable although in fuzeta you have to distance yourself a little bit from the boats area then visit ponta de sagres and cabo s.vicente. then come up through costa alentejana - by the coast... praia das furnas, praia aberta, praia do carvalhal, praia de aivados, praia de vila nova de mil fontes, praia de almograve, praia do malhão are the best beaches for what i've researched, here praias das furnas and malhão you can do nude, after vila nova das mil fontes you enter the district of costa azul... blue coast.... where you have praia do monte velho which is near lagoa de st andré... pass the lagoon and walk south and take off your bikini :)... then if you keep on coming north you'll have praia da comporta again nude allowed, ... then I would advice you to take the ferry to cross over the river sado from troia to setubal which is where I still live with parents and therefore I can only offer you the floor of my room :) and a couch in my room if you want for me there's no problem whatsoever I would even be glad to welcome you fruity people ;)... here in Setubal you can visit the serra da arrabida which is very beautiful and again with many beaches :) repetitive huh... and nearby in sesimbra you have another official nude beach meco in sesimbra. After setubal there's lisbon... in the city you have mosteiro dos jerónimos, padrão dos descobrimentos, rua augusta, castelo de S.jorge and alfama, a must see... also dont forget to take the electrics... then here you have to go to sintra and cabo da roca the point located more at west from europe, in sintra you have also palacio da pena... after that you can still go to peniche but then you could go to the interior... enough beaches right??? still the water begins to get really cold.

  ok... don't know much about the algarve... but first what would you like to visit... beaches, monuments, cities, nightlife... imo I think that in Algarve you should go to ... am in a middle of a class now and have to check on the criminals... :)

  Hi there Nutmeg... am from portugal and accidentally stumbled across your question on beaches for nudists in portugal... well, just for the record topless is acceptable in every beach I guess :)... as for the nude thing I went to do some research and we have 6 official beaches and 19 tolerated.

  On the left side you have a bar that says 'viver nu' (living naked) and right under you have 'praias oficiais' (official beaches) and under that one another one that goes 'praias mistas' (mixed beaches) if you click on the name of the beaches you'll find all the information there if you need any guidance more about it just ask me enjoy your stay here in our country ;) if you need anything else while staying here just contact me i check my messages daily :)
