Was raw for a year or so, alternated between vegan and vegetarian for about 20 yrs. Found out I was gluten intolerant. Tried Paleo....then discovered green smoothies which led me to explore a better way to go raw then the 1st time. My goal right now isn't to be 100% raw, but 90%. 80/10/10 makes sense.

Terrific! Thanks very much! :)
Hi curlygirl, Thanks for the comment and I hope that you're getting good information and support from your many friends here. I don't tend to hang out here much of late but if there's anything I can help with, please send me a message and I'll do what I can.
Hi cg, thanks for friend request, 5 month in status and how do I feel.
Like I am totally disassociated with who I was when I started.. .. prone to exaggeration? maybe.
Really I think the lifestyle owns me rather than vice versa. Was at Whole Foods today (picking up tomatoes) and as always I lurk about the cooked foods and soup offerings, etc. as I did at the beginning, and today...strayed from the cooked dishes, cause of too many no-no ingredients, then when to refrigerated items and had a container of rosemary baked red potatoes in my hand.... I'm not eating cooked!
So, left of course, when I connected with my physical reality (my stomach was full too).
Real curiosity to see this change.
Bought myself a food scale at the beginning last October but wasn't using for maybe two months in, and was shocked how below the minimum amount of 2500 cal. I was ate, which certainly explained why I was eating weekly at WF at the beginning.. Weigh my food daily now, which is typically date/nana smoothies all day. Dates for snacks, mangos, tomatoes. Have some citrus in the house, but that was typically for salads dressings when I was doing salads.
Durianrider's credo; sleep, sugar, water seems simple enough for me.
Came from a high fat raw background, but would indulge in all kinds of cooked food too, oils/fats (gourmet raw foodie I was).
Hope your hubby and son are seeing improvements from the paleo. And totally agree with your comment re quantity of fruits to be consumed...
talked your ear off.
