I have decided to run a marathon in 10 months. I ran 2 half marathons 10 years ago, when I was in shape, but a SAD eater. I want to get healthy and run a marathon. I have dabbled with the idea of 811 for a couple of years. Well, I am ready to take action in all areas!! But, boy do I need some help! I have ordered Dr. Grahams books and some CD's. I want to do this right and healthy! That is why I am here. Thanks, Trina

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are...
The 80 10 10 Diet of course! All books on health and nutrition, especially Raw. I Love Lucy TV series, The Notebook movie, A Walk to Remember movie. I enjoy running, animals and reading.
The Frugivore started this site to bring together frugivores across the Globe! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
Any and all I can get. I want to give this diet my all and do it right to enhance my running and losing 30 pounds. I have 10 months to my marathon and know I can do this right! Of course I want to stay 811 for life, not just the marathon.

hey trina!!! thanks for the request!! glad to hear you're doing great!!! =D
Love your post, Trina. Congratulations on your day. It's so funny I have such a psychological block with consuming more than about 2000cals of fruit. I do occasionally go to 2500 but that is when I've been working out more than 1.5 hours & say, doing housework for 4-5 hours. I seem to be comfortable with about 2000. But maybe that's why I've been wanting a bit of cooked at night. hmm.
Ahh I wish we were still in mango season. Sadly, sniff, only got winter fruits now. Though I am enjoying persimmons and still a bit of papaya around, but mangos are my absolutely hands down favourite.
Today, I have fruited myself until 4pm, then had a bit of cooked, and have to prepare a cooked dinner soon (vegan burritos) for my family. Anyway I will try to stuff myself with water, fruit and salad before that so I don't feel at all hungry.
Congratulations with the coffee withdrawal - easy does it. I haven't had caffeine now for 3 months and have no desire at all. Used to have a couple of cups of tea a day. Feel like I've completely busted the habit. And no chocolate at all either for that length of time - no desire either. yay
Hey Trina! Thanks for all the encouragement, it really does help me to feel more like I can succeed! 30 BaD is such a great community. :) Like you, I need cut down/cut out coffee - one of my biggest challenges, personally! But the key is to do it slowly; I think you're taking the right approach. If we can eliminate all or nearly all the other non-811 food from our diets, then I'm working from the perspective that getting the coffee out over a longer time is okay. Hope to talk to you soon, take care! :)
Hi Trina --- do you still need a buddy? I would be happy to help...we could exchange daily messages if you would want. Or hold each other accountable for meals. Let me know if you still want to pair up! :-D
Hey Trine! Great to meet you and get a group of banana buddies going. =) I started kind of haphazardly transitioning a week ago, and though I've had a couple slip-ups – I am also still working on beating an eating disorder – mostly I'm really enjoying this beginning of the raw journey. It's great that you have your husband's support, that's at least half the "battle"! :) Take care and chat soon!
