I ate raw food for about a year. Then wanted to gain muscle. Tried that diet and now I know the diet for me is eating raw especially fruit. Although I have to admit I will have a salad every so often.

I realize that this lifestyle can be isolating so I am always looking for support.
I am also wanting to learn about body building and raw eating.
The Frugivore Diet is a fruit-based vegan internet community which promotes a high carb fruit based vegan lifestyle free of any animal products. If you find that nuts are giving you any digestive difficulties or you just can’t stop at a reasonable amount, consider sampling the simpler to digest avocado for your yummy lipids. Also, if you decide at some point that you wish to consume only fruits and veggies, pls know that they provide a perfect amount of fat (probably about 5-7%) intrinsically. No additional fat is required for health.
Finally, something I recently heard may prove mentally useful. We’re not actually striving for a low-fat diet. “Low” can signify “lack,” and we in this society especially hate to be “lacking” anything, don’t we? 10% or less fat consumption is only low in comparison to everybody else (say 35-40% standard and even 70%+ among gourmet rawbies). It is much better to consider our ideal fat consumption as “optimal,” something worth pursuing and maintaining on average.
Indeed, that’s a prime goal of mine—to pursue living an optimal lifestyle, free of lack and full of abundance.
The very best to you, Gisele :-)
First, pls be gentle with yourself. This is a unique lifestyle, often completely different from what most of us are used to. It's ok if it takes a while to get the hang of it. You'll find that you make continually better choices the more you learn and experience. Is cooked food optimal? No, but it's possible to make choices in its selection that are superior to others, for those instances in which you do choose to partake. For instance, steamed veggies and brown rice trump a cheeseburger anyday.
Regarding the nuts, on their own and in the right amounts, they don't have to be a problem. What I would suggest is availing yourself of some that are salt-free (most important) and truly raw AND unpasteurized (you’d be surprised how many claim to be raw yet still pasteurized. :-p
I’ve never ordered any myself, but this may be useful:

I'll finish this in another note-I can only load so many characters...
I am also working on exercising.
