Permaculture! What are your thought about it?

So 30BAD also deals with the environment and Permaculture seems to me to be the best solution for really the worlds foods problems.  Is there anyone in our midst that is applying a permaculture design to there urban, suburban, or rural home.  If so please post a video!  For the rest of us it is just like our diet decision, knowledge is power so lets share resources and information about this wonderful design process!

    I live on a farm in South Spain, and the farm is pretty much a permaculture one. Sorry no videos. But we are currently rehabilitating another small farm we own next to ours, and are applying permaculture designs to it, so maybe along the process we'll shoot some videos, but it will take a few month...

      That would be great!  Even a small tour of your current farm and some of the principles that are being used or possibly been adapted from conventional to permaculture would be interesting to see.  

       

      I would love to see the process you go through for the small farm that your are rehabilitating, that would be amazing!

    Yup, PC is the way to go for sustainable living.

    I'm moving to south FL soon to start my very own permie food forest!!!

    I just started to research it and reading about it recently so I don't know to much yet..:)

      Rawbert, I'd love to help you with your food forest. That's my ultimate goal for when I'm older - Have my own food forest and be 100% self sustained  :) It's funny because I literately just started learning about it a few days ago and here someone posts about it on 30BaD.

      There's a movie about it and they posted a few free previews on their site.

      There's also a method called "Lasagna layering" and it's where you don't disturb the soil, but instead build it up in layers, like it would happen in a forest. So it's a good starting method for the food forest.
