  Hey everyone! I grew up in Monroe, LA, and visit family there several times a year. I am wondering where are the good places to buy fruit in northeastern Louisiana or even Jackson, MS. I am coming into town for Thanksgiving, and want to introduce my family members to some interesting fruits if possible :-) So glad to see some 811 is happening in my home state!!!

  I started vegan life style on May 31,& am absolutely loving it!! I try to tell my friends& coworkers about how great this is but they think I'm crazy. It is very discouraging. But I'll keep eating raw till 4 vegan because I want to feel good about myself& save animals:)

  Hey, I live in Baton Rouge and fruit here in the winter really sucks. Whole Foods is my go to place, but has very poor variety in the winter and its not practical to be making meals out of alot of the fruit in there because its so overpriced. Trader Joes is pretty bad also. I havent been going to the Downtown Farmers market lately, so not really sure what they have right now. Any suggestions for fruit options in or around Baton Rouge would be helpful

  Hey Guys - 

  I know this is late notice, but I figure better late than never.  There will be a raw potluck tomorrow (2/24) in Girard Park in Lafayette at 2:30.  It's not going to be all 811, but definitely some.  And I'm going to be getting a fruitluck together soon afterwards.  Will keep y'all posted.

  Hi.  I currently live in Austin, Texas, but I am moving to Bay St. Louis, MS in July, just outside of Louisiana.  I used to live in Hattiesburg, MS and I don't think I even knew another cooked vegan while there.  I know we are scattered across the south, but that doesn't mean we can't support each other anyway!  I would definitely be willing to drive to Baton Rouge or wherever for some fruitlucks!

  Hey everyone! I live in Cali right now but am moving home to the big BR soon. So if y'all are putting on Fruitlucks I would love to attend when I am home. I will be home for the holidays on the 5th of December to Jan 2nd so if y'all want to do one, let's get it together! I have met tons of 811ers out here in CA so far, but I want to meet some great people back home for when I move back for a while in February.

  Hi fellow fruity Louisianians,

  I am hoping to move back home soon (new orleans) from Costa Rica and will be looking for a roommate when I return.  I hope to live on the northshore in the mandeville/lacombe area as I would like to be close to the city, but living out in nature.  Also I am really excited to live near the Tammany Trace for fitness reasons.  I would love to have a like-minded roommate and have already found several great spots for rent.  Does this appeal to anyone here, preferably the females?
