I have been vegan for 2 and a half years, and have progressively gotten more strict and purer in my dietary habits. The beginning of last summer I did a 30 day juice feast, which kicked off eating really well, according to Dr. Fuhrman's Eat to Live plan. That diet was great for getting me off oil, salt, fried foods, and vegan junk. But my weight loss stalled, and I stabilized around the high 120s-130 pounds. In January of this year, I decided I wanted to lose an additional 15 pounds to achieve my ideal weight, around 105-115 pounds (I am 5'5"). Over the past 3 months, I began eating cleaner and cleaner, transitioning to a high raw diet and slowly to a fruitarian 90/5/5 or 80/10/10 diet. It's very difficult to eat this way where I live (Terre Haute, IN), and to find really fresh fruit and other produce. But I am determined. I love how I feel, and the weight loss is fantastic!

Awesome Taylor!!! :)
Hi,
Welcome aboard! :)
You can check out the Banana Welcome Wagon at:
http://www.30bananasaday.com/profiles/blogs/30bad-banana-wagon-tour
To get started. Be sure to note food, calorie, water, sleep recommendations and log (can use www.cronometer.com or similar) your food/drink intake, at least for the first few months to get used to what you need to eat to stay on target calorie wise as well as macronutrient (carbs:fat:protein) wise. Even if someone is a long time, established, raw vegan, it is possible to discover some things using "hard-data"; spot trends, be able to make good adjustments, that might not be possible otherwise.
Enjoy!
P.S. for the best transition, we recommend jumping in with both feet! Read through the links though and be sure to get in a lot of calories and good hydration, jumping in restricting calories and/or being dehydrated tend to make what should be a joy, into a chore, if not an outright failure.
