I have been and off and on vegetarian since I was about 13. I was always really grossed out by meat but I was convinced I needed it to survive. Whenever I was a vegetarian I would eat tons of dairy - again because I thought I needed it and tons of avacado and soy products. This type of eating always made me get fatter so I started to think that I needed to eat meat to control my wieght. A couple years ago when I moved to Asia (I am originally from canada) I decided to go vegetarian again because I was concerned with meat quality in asia - praticularly in india - the first stop on my journay. Then I moved to japan and started eating fish again - this time I got really fat - i have always been overweight but in japan i became huge. When the earthquake hit japan in march of 2011 i decited it was time to leave. Then I thought if I don't want to live there because of the nuclear polution how can I eat the fish that live in the waters that the nuclear wast is spilling into? So I became a vegitarian again. I moved to thailand, went off the pill and some of the weight started to come off. That summer I went back to india so study yoga. My yoga teacher is a huge advocate of 811. He prescribed a gentle transitioning diet for me and reluctantly I accepted and have been transitioning ever since. Starting June of 2011 I gave up dairy and processed sugar and limited my oil consumption to a maximum of 1 tsp a day. Since then I have eliminated oil and eggs from my deit. I have done one 30 day 100% raw challange and am in the midst of my second 100% raw challange. I am thinking of potentially taking this one longer so I feel the need for support. I still have a lot of weight to loose and its hard for me to maintain patience.

The Frugivore started this site to bring together frugivores across the Globe! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
I need help trusting that I will loose the wieght if I stick to it. Understanding how many vegetables to eat and understanding the pros and cons of including some cooked food in my diet - like plain steamed vegtables. I need help with simple recipes so I can stay excited about eating fruit and a community of fruit eating to help me feel excited.
