Photography, videography, design, creative food prep, enjoying nature, writing, gorging on watermelon mango, reading, people with open minds, running lots of steps(endurance exercise is so easy as you know- I hesitate to call it exercise!), hard core weight training (although I only do it so as to crush the "stereo-type" of raw vegans lacking muscle, otherwise I would just rather be hiking LEISURELY & enjoying nature some more)

The Frugivore started this site to bring together frugivores across the Globe! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
Thank you for offering assistance. It is very kind. Of main importance to me is steadily enjoying this 811rv lifestyle that I have created with even more efficiency and enjoyment. The best places to live based on food supply is the name of the game!
The Frugivore Diet is a fruit-based vegan internet community which promotes a high carb fruit based vegan lifestyle free of any animal products. Our forum does not tolerate encouragement of anything contrary to this. Nor do we allow endorsement of non-vegan items or practises which involve the imprisonment, exploitation, abuse or murder of sentient beings. We also require our members to post with proper netiquette. Therefore, please indicate your intention:

Happy Birthday!!! :D Thanks for all the great posts!!!
Thanks for your comment!
I have been lifting 5 sets of 5 reps for 2 years now. I have only just started to put more focus on squats. All the strongest guys on the internet seem to recommend low reps and say that strength = size and pumped up muscles from high reps are not the real deal.
I am interested why you do such high reps on squats and what you think I should be aiming for weight wise when lifting these high reps? I really want to embarrass my meat eating gym buddies but since going vegan I am the one feeling embarrassed as I am a bit weaker. I am still in amazing shape but it is not enough.
Good points.
Specificity, yes. Well, I ultimately want to be more athletic and keep up with my mates in basketball and football. I do upper body workouts with weights, trying to get in a lot of back and core workouts for better balance and strength. I also do a lot of chest/tris/shoulder workouts for pushing off/getting position. Start off with max weight and work my way down (sometimes I'll do a 5 rep warmup set with a low weight). I also don't do stretches, warm-ups, or cool downs. I know by the books, that's bad, but I lift more if I don't do all that and recover just as fast either way.
I don't do lower body weights anymore - mainly due to the fact that my legs are too gassed to play if I do; however, I do hill sprints with 5lb. ankle weights and practice shooting alone with them on as well. I feel like it helps my agility and jumping, yet my legs stay fresh to play any day of the week.
My friends have noticed my game has gotten a lot better, mainly because I beat them 90% of the time now (no joke) instead of just 50% of the time ;)
I'm open to any tips you have to beat em every time, though. I'll do anything to wake these guys up and get em off their whey powder and on the fruit! If that means humiliating them on the court, then game on! :D
So you're saying it's a good thing that I'm 6'4"? lol jk. Thanks for the reply :)
Hi Chris- Yes, Portland is a magnificent city to live in; it really is. Good to hear from you. I was reading different articles from your website yesterday. You're the real deal!
I just read your blog and was curious about getting enough muscle rest. I've heard overdoing it (a little bit, not to the point of burnout) is ideal, because it forces your body to recover faster knowing the muscles will be broken down again so soon. Is there any truth to that? Please let me know!

Hey Chris - You just mentioned Tilden in a comment to Cecilie - Is that John H. Tilden? If, where is that quote from?
