Hello, my name is Carmon and I have been vegan for 8 years now. My partner and I have been raising our family this way as well. My 2 children are 9 and 14 years old and thrive on a vegan diet. They are extremely healthy and intelligent which I am proud we can lead by example for other families out there. For over 5 years now, I have been a regular at my gym taking Turbo Kick classes, spin classes, and lifting weights. I LOVE LOVE LOVE trail running and mountain biking in the beautiful mountains that surround me and I am a sucker for a crazy hike to any waterfall. I do live in the land of waterfalls so it is easier than you would think to find one! This year I decided to push myself and train for a half marathon which I completed in March (Rock N Roll Half Marathon in Washington DC)! Yay me! I have a knee injury now and currently cannot run long distances. But I am doing Insanity videos, lifting weights and mountain biking. What will my next project be? Rock climbing? I am not sure yet. Since I have to go easy on the exercise because of my knee, I am in the mood to increase my health and nutrition. That is one reason I came to 30BaD. I want to thrive on a low fat raw vegan diet!

Are you Connected?
yes i am
My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are...
My favorite books are anything nutrition or about veganism, The China Study by T. Colin Campbell, Empty Cages by Tom Regan, and The Hunger Games (only because my daughter convinced me to read them and it gave us something to have in common, plus they filmed the movie in my town!) I have been into vegan activism for 7 years now and table at several festivals a year with The Asheville Vegans. I am on the board for them as well. I also organized the first ever Asheville Vegfest last year which was a HUGE success.
The Frugivore started this site to bring together frugivores across the Globe! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
My main concern is trying to lose weight and have loads and loads of energy. I have skin issues on my face as I get bumps and rash outbreaks. I went to the Dr and he said it is incurable. Well, I do NOT believe him and want to fix it with a HCRV lifestyle. I feel that I have candida issues and it has been going on for about 4 years. I know that if I can do this long term, I am going to feel so much better.
