Hi there! I have been vegan since December 11, 2019. I made the change after being stuck on yo-yo diets ever since leaving secondary school and I haven't looked back since! I have always been super active and sporty but my appetite was always much bigger than any of the other girls (and sometimes boys) around me. Eventually, I got super good at calorie deprivation and even spent a whole year intermittent fasting for 16 hours each day. Surprise, surprise, it was a short term fix at best and I would spend weeks binging out on cheese on toast, pot noodles, chocolate muffins etc., etc.. I was worried about where I would end up in 10 years and I saw it ending badly, so I decided to make a change. I found the Frugivore diet back in 2013, when I also discovered Dr Michael Gregor. However, I never really educated myself properly so my first attempt at following a plant-based diet lasted for 3 months after gaining 7kgs. Fast-forward to December of 2019 and everything clicked for me! I now follow a vegan lifestyle and have even gotten my mum, dad and brother on board too :D. I am trying to improve my diet because I still find it hard to eat enough fruit, so hopefully, I can learn from more experienced frugivores. Looking forward to it!

My favourite thing in the world is equestrianism! I have been around horses since the age of 6 but I didn't learn how to ride until I was 8. Now, as a vegan, I definitely don't agree with a lot of the practises that used to take place in equestrian centres, so my dream is to have my own sanctuary one day where I can look after horses and other animals without treating them as money-making objects <3

Unfortunately, I am a fussy eater when it comes to fruits. I could probably count on both hands the fruits that I like. I'm not sure if I should be forcing myself to eat new fruits or how I should deal with this, because I really want to be able to incorporate more foods into my diet. Also, I really struggle with eating enough calories from fruit so I end up relying on my cooked meals in the evenings to feel satiated. Finally, I would love some more advice on how to achieve a lean physique.
