I first learned about raw some years ago, when I was looking for a diet on youtube. Soon enough I realized it is not a way to lose weight, but a way of living! It opened up a new world to me that I was thirsdy to know everything around it. I was as attracted to this diet, as I was when I first learned about reiki. Both of them were meant to be my passion and I believe my path. Last summer I finally tried to follow raw diet, but I soon realized that I was just not that ready. So I decided that I could be a vegan, as a transitioning stage, and I am vegan since the beginning of this year!! I'm already feeling lighter, I dropped 4-5 pounds, my skin is waaaay better and even my ability to smell increased... for examble I can clearly smell eggs in ingredients, so nobody can fool me!! The worst part of it is that I can smell raw meat when I am at the market...that's just horrible and I'm turning away! So, last month I realize pounds doesn't drop anymore, plus I really care for my health, so I want something to clear me up, so I can hopefully consume more fruits...some detox fast... but Freelee's videos are more encouraging than that, talking about high carbs and all that stuff... From her youtube channel I found this forum and I'm ready to make friends and see what's coming next...maybe some 10 day fast, maybe some 30 day raw or more, you never know!

I'm a person that likes to research and know what's coming next when entering a new area. That helps me to maintain my interest and not quitting... I want to start a raw food diet someday, hopefully soon, but I'm not that ready to start eating 30 bananas or 2 salads a day... I mean that my taste and my body is not ready for that amount of that kind of food, but my mind says this is the real food... So, I suspect that there must be a good transitioning way, or recipes that will be satisfying to my eye, taste and digestion... I just don't know how to do it yet! Most of the times when I'm trying to eat as raw as possible, I don't feel that well in the stomach and this is frustrating. I don't want that, I want to feel satisfied and not like I'm constandly hungry (by the way, apples more than anything make me feel like starving even if I wasn't hungry before consuming them). I'm hoping for easy ingredient and preparation recipes (I don't own or have any money to buy a dehydrator or a vitamix yet, I just own a food processor and a personal blender), which however won't be just apple, apple and apple and will make me feel good. This forum's information, along with like minded people & new raw fooders like me (transitioning buddies) is what I hope to find in this forum. Of course, if Freelee is also participating for encouragement, that would be awesome!!

AWESOME - thanks for asking. Sorry I haven't been online I've been pretty active and doing mountain biking. My gut hangs over but I don't care. I did the "before" video and said in it "I'm just going to do raw til four for as along as it takes" and I'm really, truly doing it and it's NO WHERE near as hard - nay, it's not even what I would CALL hard - as any "diet" i have forced myself to do in the past. I just saw someone post to someone else "do you need an accountability partner?" which I thought - now that I am getting the hang of it - wow no body needs that with this lifestyle, it's not a diet. If they are really doing the life right. You know who your accountability partner is? A huge ol' date smoothie with peppermint drops in it. This whole week anytime I felt like "hmmm I might need some garbage (chips, thai food, whatever)" I would just hear Freelees words "if you are wanting bad foods, you aren't having enough fruit calories" and literally made a smoothie of any old cheap fruit I have at hand - and ny craving goes away. I have major PMS right now by the way so this is pretty much proof. I hope you are doing this too!
I'm doing one that's up on the high carb cooked vegan group at the moment and it starts today :) You can just join the discussion on there as I think there's quite a few people as well as me doing it now :)
