I am vegetarian and have wanted to become vegan for a long while now but found it difficult in the past because of social situations (answering constant questions and feeling guilty for complicating dinner parties etc) as well as my changing ethical views and obsession with my weight. i have had depression since I was 14 and really do not feel content with life, actually quite the opposite and am constantly anxious, on edge and have low self esteem as well as disordered eating habits such as bullimia. After reading 801010 I feel so strongly that this lifestyle is the healthiest there is. It just clicked and makes so much sense to me. The best thing about it is its simplicity, it takes away the constant planning and anxiety around food that is usual for disordered eaters/dieters and doesn't require any expensive supplemented bullshit which I have bought into in the past.
I think that what I want to achieve from the lifestyle is greater mental health, mostly, as well as a high fitness level which I now see is natural and attainable for all people. Weight loss is really a welcome addition following these.

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are...
i love reading and am studying english literature. some of my favourite authors and poets are roald dahl, benjamin zephaniah, james fenton, john berkavitch, david nicholls, emily dickinson and caitlin moran.
i love the movies rio bravo, jackie brown, buffalo 66 and mean girls :)
my pastimes are writing stories and poetry and such as well as hanging out with my friends and watching films and the usual. I used to dance and took ballet for ten yrs so would love to get back into that alongside my hcrv lifestyle. I also want to do something like volunteer for a charity so as to include something in my life which is not all about me and thus put my problems into perspective somewhat. I think it suits the hcrv thing :)
Sorry, but i dont have a website/blog/fb, its just meeeee!
The Frugivore started this site to bring together frugivores across the Globe! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
I think being able to communicate with other hcrv people is the main thing so as to provide some support which I certainly don't have atm, which was probably why i have failed at veganism in the past cos im kind of a wimp and care a bit too much about other people's opinions.
Also, although Dr Graham's books is very clear, im a little uncertain as to whether to allow some grains or not on the diet.
The Frugivore Diet is a fruit-based vegan internet community which promotes a high carb fruit based vegan lifestyle free of any animal products.
