Vegetarian since age 19. Been trying to transition to 80-10-10 since 2006. I started attending Overeater's Anonymous and dealing with some childhood trauma garbage, and am finally feeling more hopeful about fully living the dream!

I am a big-time gardener and really want to learn more about permaculture. I volunteer with a community garden, and am teaching some of my children (the ones who are interested) about gardening. I would like to transition to a lifestyle where I am growing all my food one day. I love exercise. Right now I am doing circuit training with body weight and hand weights, riding a stationary bicycle, and doing a Couch to 5K run/walk program when the weather isn't too nasty. I love to hike also, but not in winter. I am working on learning Spanish. I love to watch inspirational documentaries, especially about artists and other passionate people.

The Frugivore started this site to bring together frugivores across the Globe! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
I mainly need to connect with others who understand this lifestyle for empathy and moral support. Long-term, I'd like to make contacts so I can be living in a community with others who are living joyfully and making a difference on this planet. And honestly, I have a hard time making enough money to buy enough fruit, while not working so many hours that I don't have time to spend time raising my 4 children, gardening and exercising. Maybe someone here has some ideas for me...

Thanks for the advice with the zucchini! I will def. try that next time I make those wraps and let you know. I use the zucchini stretch in the low fat hummus I make, as well as in my tahini salad dressing!
Have fun xoxoxoxoxo
Lots of love
That's wise advice, Greenmama. I think if we stay as positive as we can, people will react to that and be less freaked out by any dietary "weirdness."
And it's hilarious how much I DON'T want cake anymore - not even a little. Can't believe I'm the same person ;p
Hi Greenmama- I just wanted to say Hello. Regardless of how you're eating and what you're up to, I just wanted to say you are a lovely person. Are you still active with the same spiritual fellowship? I've been doing the work there intensely and it's working miracles in my life. Take care!
Hi Greenmama! You popped in my head this morning. I hope you are having a lovely summer with your children. I have returned to work, and really enjoy what I do. I find it pretty easy to eat a ton of yummy fruit, and the cafe has lots of bananas. Just doing my best, like usual. I miss reading your blogs LOL. Anyways, we all gotta do what we gotta do. And I am glad you are finding joy in other areas of your life. Take care!!!!
