I have been vegan for 8 years and the last 2 have been mostly lowfat. I have tried numerous times to go raw but haven't been successful. After reading 80/10/10 I think I can finally do it and came here for support.

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are...
Dr. Calwell Essylstein, T. Collin Cambell, 80/10/10, Eat to live, forks over knives, simply raw. I love exercise and ride my elliptical 65 minutes a day. I also love biking, walking and swimming in the ocean if I am in a tropical place. I try to lift weights but that is something that I kind of have to push myself to do. I am totally into all discussion and learning about anything health related.

Hi Robin!
My youtube channel is Zanna the Fruit Bat.
My first name is Nicole but my friends and family call be Zanna (middle name):)
Thanks for taking the time to check it out :)
oh wait! you're in Grants Pass... a little far from the Salem Market lol!
Hi Robin! Small world!
Ya, you can't beat yourself up over the bumps in the road... I think the best way to start is to look at your progress like the stock market... is the general trend positive? If so, then consider your transition a success!
For me, the decision to go HCRV was so easy. Maybe too easy. It's been 1 month this Saturday since I went HCRV.
My biggest challenges are 1) I am the only HCRV in my house so the transition has been a bit difficult when I am not eating enough... it's so tempting to reach for the high fat food; even some of the animal products like cheese and ice-cream. 2) I love peanut butter, but even a serving takes you over the edge as far as the fat content is concerned. 3) Going out with friends is still a little awkward (I guess I am still shy to talk about my decisions about going HCRV with people who are clearly not on the same path).
I made a youtube channel though to help. I find that talking about, and sharing my thoughts on, being HCRV recommits me to my choice. Even if no one follows, it's like I recommit myself to my HCRV choice every time I push the little "publish" button on the video. It's almost like... I said it, it's out there, there is no turning back. (I don't know, maybe that sounds crazy, but I find it super helpful).
I see you have a blog! Im totally going to check it out!
Im so excited it's almost Saturday Market time! Do you go to the market in Salem? I think this lifestyle will totally change the way I go to the market lol!
Keep up the good work and KEEP BLOGGING! Spread the healthy word!
Talk to you soon!
Nicole
