I love laughing with friends and family; hanging out in the sunshine; being silly; being outside; dancing; appreciating all kinds of beauty - whether it's a stormy sky, pretty clothes or a random act of kindness; eating divine and perfect mangoes with the juice running down my chin; singing (not well, but happily); having huge adventures in foreign countries and little, everyday adventures like discovering a new park; seeing anyone with a sparkle in their eye and a kind heart; long walks in the countryside or along cliff tops; doing nothing, preferably in a hammock; hitching a ride in the back of pick-up trucks; long conversations in cafés about love, life and everything; happy music; beautiful music; big hugs; swimming in the rain when it's warm and getting lost in a novel or film.

Cheers
It was a lovely day!
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. My dad had a stroke a week or so ago and I've been dealing with that.
I struggle with food all the time. It can take years to get over food addictions. I simply can't handle eating anything that is not lowfat raw or I get sick. Not just physically, but my mind goes haywire. Despite even this I still try and go back to eating cooked food every once in a while, but I keep getting the same results.
Eating 80/10/10 is very very hard....at least for me. It does bring all a persons "shit" to the surface. It helps us become better people in all ways. When I am eating right I feel so clear and peaceful mentally and well as physically. When the emotions come up and my first urge is to eat some garbage food, a lot of times I will have to cry my way through the urge. Another thing I do when I get really bad cravings is I make myself remember how sick I feel when I eat bad. I do deep breathing, I try to feel my body and how it good it feels when I treat it with love and food that loves it.
When I do fail I try not to be hard on myself. I keep telling myself that I am moving forward and that I refuse to go back. I start over the next day. Sometimes I will go on binges and eat cooked food for a couple of weeks and once I've exhausted myself and I feel so horrible i want to die than I go back to eating fruit. When I am eating right I try to write down how good I feel and how clear my mind is. I get frustrated all the time when I'm on that roller coaster phase. I know I will make it though and so will you. My body knows what it is like now to feel good and it will not give that up for very long and eventually I will only crave good food.
I know you can make it Helena. Just listen to your body. Ask it what food it wants. My body is much smarter than my mind, my mind can talk my body into all sorts of unhealthy ideas, but my body doesn't change it's mind. It knows what makes it feel good and all the thinking in the world isn't going to change it's mind.
I don't know if any of this will help you. I hope it does ;)
many blessings,
Victoria
So how are things for you on your path?

Thank you for your beautiful comment. Your wordings on your profile 'seeing everyone with a sparkle in their eyes and a kind heart' touched me. I also liked Dirty Dancing movie. How painful that its actor Patrick Swayze is suffering from cancer right now!
I re-read your blog writings to imbibe inspirational gems from your super writing. Thsi community is radiant because of nice, sweet and uplifting individuals like you, Helena.
Lots of Love
